Fiona started her TV career working in Leeds at True North Productions, as a trainee Development Researcher, spending time coming up with ideas, and casting contributors to take part in programmes such as CHANNEL 4’s long running series BUILDING THE DREAM. Whilst at True North she worked on multiple productions where she gained skills of working on location and with talent.

From there she worked for CHANNEL 4’s BAFTA winning documentary MUSLIMS LIKE US. This is where her love for factual documentaries grew and she carved a career as a freelance researcher working her way up to Producer level on more critically acclaimed programmes such as BBC ONE’s AMBULANCE.

Fiona wanted to move into shooting and directing and was nominated to take part in CHANNEL 4’s Northern Female Directors training course.

This opened up doors for Fiona to start filming and directing programmes such as CHANNEL 4’s JAILED OVER A GROUP CHAT. She was also invited to pitch a film to shoot and direct for BBC THREE at the 2022 Sheffield Doc Festival.

More recently Fiona has worked on CHANNEL 4’s 24 HOURS IN A&E taking the programme into the edit.
