Caleb has created and written some of the biggest successes on UK television in recent years. Among them, the early evening, critically acclaimed soap ‘Night and Day’, drama series ‘Take Me’ and ‘Distant Shores’, romantic comedy features ‘Heartless’ and ‘Me & Mrs. Jones’, crime caper ‘Diamond Geezer’ (starring David Jason), as well as the hard hitting thrillers ‘Child Of Mine’, ‘If I Had You’ and the highest rated drama of the year ‘Forgotten’. His credits for the BBC include ‘Young James Herriot’ and the acclaimed BBC2 feature film about Battle Of Britain Spitfire pilots ‘First Light’.
Caleb is currently in pre-production on a major adventure series for Slim Film and Television, based on the Jules Verne classic novel ‘Around the World In 80 Days’, and a four part drama series about comedian Benny Hill for Free@last and Acorn Media. The Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Planet Of The Apes, The Batman) produced series ‘Ordinary Joe’ has been co-created by Caleb and a pilot has been given the greenlight by NBC.
His feature film; ‘Obsession’ for Joejack Entertainment is due to shoot in 2020 in the US. And a second feature film, romantic comedy ‘Six Stickers’, based on the acclaimed memoir by Adam Carroll-Smith is also set to shoot later this year, directed by Chris Foggin (Fisherman’s Friends).
As well as writing Caleb also runs a TV and film production company ‘Play Nice Productions’. ‘The More You Ignore Me’ written by comedian Jo Brand, adapted from her deeply moving, laugh out loud novel of the same name, and starring Sheridan Smith was released theatrically in 2018.
